The Filipino-American Veterans of Nevada honored veterans at the second annual dinner ball last Nov. 5 at the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Leaders from the Asian-American community as well as government officials led by US Sen. Dean Heller graced the event. Keynote speech, meanwhile, was given by Major General Antonio Taguba.
Recently, the group urged the Obama administration to reconsider former soldiers’ compensation claims which have been denied earlier as part of its efforts to look out for the welfare of Filipino veterans.
