Jo Koy (Joseph Glenn Herbert) is a Filipino-American stand-up comic. Koy began standup comedy in 1994 at a comedy club in Las Vegas. Soon Koy moved from open mic night to becoming one of the most requested comedians[citation needed] at Catch a Rising Star, a signature show at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. A talent coordinator from Los Angeles spotted Koy and landed him his first television appearance on BET's Comic View. Koy has been on two seasons of Comic View and Showtime at the Apollo.
