Asian Nightingale Lani Misalucha reigns supreme in the concert scene

YalongThe East Coast concert scene couldn’t be any exciting (anymore) after watching the voluptuous Asian Nightingale, Lani Misalucha, performed once again to a full-packed audience in a recently concluded live concert at the posh Trump Taj Mahal Resort and Casino’s Xanadu Theater in Atlantic City…unprecedentedly earning for her a much steadier status as the Philippines’ best talent export and one of the most recognized international ambassadresses of songs.

Inspired by the insistent clamor and persistent demand of her avid followers and die-hard fans, Lani’s professed intention to do her best was set to an even more dynamic performance that was already expected of her. Small to huge adoring compliments abound in such voluminous applause in unison that all the more proved her overpowering consistency in her field.

Lani Misalucha’s compelling performance even resonated beyond expectation making all Filipinos mighty proud of her. Truly, the Asian Nightingale is one Filipino talent to reckon with. .. for her repertoire, vocal range, dedicated passion and unique singing style are exactly suited for an era of enhanced international standard aptly coupled with her impressive globalized musicality. Following the critical and much acclaimed success of her Las Vegas stint, Lani’s constant performances the world over (including her latest Atlantic City sojourn), undeniably added more luster to her already glittery name and infused even more boost in catapulting her to an enviable status she solely holds and occupies.

The sensational Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha Live In Concert, produced and presented by Topnotch Electronics and Group Ole, was, needless to say, a rousing success. And that went smoothly with neither a hitch nor glitch! With three costume changes and an "avalanche" of a variety of hits and bits, the jaw-dropping event gave the audience more than the entertainment they came for. And who wouldn’t be petrified with an impressive repertoire that included a wide diversity of popular ditties and immortal hits like Rhythm of The Night, When I Say I needed You, I Say A Little Prayer For You, and Keep Pleading?

Of course, the "in" thing shouldn’t be missed (at all)! The current flavor of the music scene, Lady Gaga’s phenomenal hit Poker Face was given its due spot courtesy of one of Lani’s back-up singers.

As if those incredibly interpreted song numbers were not enough to hold her audience into a deep spell, the effervescent songstress segued to a classical number, Nessum Dorma (No One Sleeps), a most recognized aria from Giacomo Puccini’s well-acclaimed opera Turandot, that eventually proved her versatility even in operatic pieces.

Being a Filipino exponent of the universal language of the heart and soul that is music, the sultry singer included a couple of sentimental Tagalog selections such as Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin and Hangga’t May Umaga which she delivered with so much passion and distinct emotional depth.

Her powerful rendition of the 70’s rock band Queen’s 1975 top hit Bohemian Rhapsody and its 1977 Billboard topper, We Are The Champions, literally rocked the venue with the audience’s lively reaction in pandemonium-like effect. Even Broadway wasn’t left unnoticed. Theme songs from the Great White Way box office musicals such as Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Cats and the Sound of Music were effectively reprise, remarkably reminisced and dramatically interpreted.

And speaking of vocal interpretations, Lani has convincingly mastered the art of imitation and mimicry. With such absolute fun and fair play, she did Britney Spears (I’m Not That Innocent), Celine Dion (Because You Loved Me), and Diana Ross (Ain’t No Mountain High Enough). Even pop star Beyonce Knowles and the legendary Tina Turner did not escape Lani’s penchant for great singers. Most revelatory was her medley rendition of Whitney Houston’s songs significantly capped with the popular theme number from The Bodyguard, I Will Always Love You.

From this point where she is currently revered and idolized, it is but unfathomable where the Asian Nightingale will "perch" next and to where would her restless wings soar. It is always believed that once one reaches the peak of success and the summit of any ambition there’s no other way but to go down… in which case seems too far from happening to Lani. With such dedicated passion, a much in-demand and flourishing career and, not to ignore, an amazingly unmatched talent, I believe that the Asian Nightingale has yet to reach her saturation point. For as long as there are a great number of fans and followers who believe in her capability, Lani Misalucha’s reign is far from being over. Her supremacy over the recording and concert scenes has yet to see its doom… much more with a very remote possibility of ultimately singing her swan song and executing her final vow.
