Few young engaged couples realize exactly how hard it is to make a marriage work. Young and in-love, many newly engaged couples believe that love will conquer all in their marriage. But realistically, that is not the case. Marriage takes a lot of hard work, patience and perseverance. Here are a few tips and advice from married couples to engaged couples about what to expect in married life.

Accept flaws. The decision to get married is also a decision to accept your spouse’s flaws whatever they may be. You’ll be living with that person 24 hours a day. Flaws will rise up sooner or later. The best way to prepare for it is to understand who that person is and to not build a false picture of that perfect dream spouse.
