Councilman John Ferraro of District 4 of the city of Los Angeles is holding the scissors that he used to cut the ceremonial ribbon signifying the birth of Filipino Town. The two day celebration, called Pasko Sa Nayon: A Filipino town is Born, was held on December 8-9,1984 at the Filipinas Plaza, located on the corner of Temple and Carondelet Streets in the Temple-Beverly corridor.
