A Pacquiao pre-production doll made by MINDstyle. SAN DIEGO - Seriously fanboys, chill.

Shortly after Screen Gems’ Resident Evil: Afterlife panel, a man dressed in a Harry Potter T-shirt stabbed another Comic-Con attendee in the face with a pen in Hall H of the San Diego Convention Center last Saturday.

Two men in their 20s got into an argument over sitting too close to each other. One man was struck with a pen and hospitalized with a minor cut around his eyelid, the other was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, said San Diego Police Officer David Stafford.

It happened just before Universal Pictures was to present panels on two upcoming films its sci-fi adventure Paul and Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens.

Stafford described the Comic-Con crowd of self-described freaks and geeks as usually tame.

"There really hasn’t been any issues," he said. "They don’t drink, so that cuts down on the fights."

Comic-Con attendees were not surprised.

"We lined up here early this morning and frustration really builds up," said an attendee from NY dressed up as anime character Naruto.

Saturday was among the biggest days at Comic-Con with movie previews from the major studios.

Attendees line up for admission to Hall H, which seats 6,500, hours and even days ahead of time.

Comic-Con is the nation’s largest comic book and pop-culture gathering and is San Diego’s largest convention.

More than 125,00 people attended this year’s event, which sold out as early as March.
