Its wonderful to know we have a talented Filipino American conductor that we can emulate to the world.
You make us proud being a filipino - sariling atin ang galing mo.
since you are organizing this symphony, my daughter is a violinist and would like to be a part of your orchestra. Is there an audition with you, maestro Robert Shroder?

Julia was very impressed by the group\'s talent, specially us sitting at the side as spectators. She also found new friends that she can relate to her interest in violin. She would like a copy of the music pieces so that she can practice and be prepared for the next rehearsal. Thank you for your efforts and hard work with the ensemble!

Miss ko na ang mga gigs natin nina kuya Rex noon sa San Diego.

Principal Cellist, FASO

Working with Maestro Shroder in FASO has been so uplifting and fun! He has the right personality to deal with sometimes \'tempermental\' musicians and of couse, always \"knows the score\" ! As a non Filipino and Ethnomusicologist, it is most interesting for me to learn new music from this area of the world and to meet and perform with musicians with backgrounds different from mine. I must thank Cecilia Cruz for inviting me into FASO and to her mom for staying connected to me to make this happen.

I have worked with many ethnic groups: Croatians, Romanians, Germans, Arabs, Armenians, Koreans, Chinese, Poles, Canadians, and the Jewish community. But this is the first time I will actually be given part of my performance wardrobe for a concert and I already have my \'rehearsal\' shirt for FASO! So I have to say, FASO really has its \'act together\' and our Maestro, Robert Shroder is certainly one of the most talented musicians I have ever worked with and with his winning smile, I hope our partnership will continue for a long time. Those who know my past with conductors may not believe what I am saying but I wouldn\'t say it if I didn\'t believe it!!

The next step after our concert in December I say is to perform in Washington D.C., a \'Command Performance\' for President Barack Obama - I \"know we can\" do that! Yes we can!!

Cheers! Doc Foy, \'cellist.

Stay tuned and visit my site at bravo-la.com to see when the new Foy/Shroder Dynamic Duo will give our debut concert !! Hey, we do music for special occasions, too!

P.S. How about forming a FAAA-Filipino American Academy of Arts with satellite campuses here and abroad? Count me in on this, too!

Music may be the only \'glue\' that holds humanity together in the face of difficult times. What do you think?
