Sam Milby and Anne Curtis with ‘Babe, I Love You!’ director Mae Cruz. The love team of Anne Curtis and Sam Milby gained a huge following when TV viewers noticed their bursting chemistry in the highly rated series Maging Sino Ka Man and Dyosa aired over ABS-CBN. After their TV projects, many waited for their team up to grace the big screen. Now the long wait is over as for the first time, Anne and Sam come together for Babe, I Love You, under Star Cinema and Viva Films.

"The last time we worked together for a project was Dyosa. That was more than a year ago. So we’re really excited to finally work together and see ourselves on the big screen," Anne tells Philstar.com.

Sam shares the same feeling as he says,"For the longest time, fans have been asking us to have a movie together.I hope they will enjoy this gift of ours which Star Cinema and Viva Films are producing."

Babe, I Love You! focuses on Nico (Sam) and Sasa (Anne), two individuals who can’t be any more different from each other. However, the two get past their differences and find themselves involved in a romance that’s made for the books but not without some drama and a bit of comedy of course.

Sam Milby and Anne Curtis.Ever since Sam charmed TV audiences with his stint in Pinoy Big Brother, he has been one of the busiest stars, nabbing hosting gigs, film roles and commercial endorsements left and right. With his big screen appearances, he has proven he has the makings to be one of Philippine cinema’s formidable leading men. Anne, on the other hand, having started with her "cutesy" role in the teen-oriented series T.G.I.S., had to work harder to shed off her "just another pretty girl" image. Anne reached certified leading lady status after her turns in When Love Begins (opposite Aga Muhlach) and Baler (opposite Jericho Rosales). And now, her role in this new film further attests to that.

‘Babe, I Love You!’ Movie PosterThe film is directed by Mae Cruz who has worked with the celebrated onscreen pair in Maging Sino Ka Man. She tells Philippine Entertainment Portal that she feels very lucky that for her first feature film, she gets to work with Sam and Anne. Mae started as a production assistant for ABS-CBN and says that she admits she feels pressure for her directorial film debut to do well.

"I’m very grateful to Star Cinema for giving me this opportunity. Yung pressure is great but it’s not so much na yun ang top of my mind ko because as I’ve waited for so long for my first full length, parang nandun lang yung fire and you’re just so excited to do it," she says.

Also included in the cast are Nikki Valdez, Guji Lorenzana, Tetchie Agbayani, AJ Perez, Meagan Young, Thou Reyes, Kitkat, Nikki Bacolod, CJ Jaravata, Angel Sy, Cheska Ortega, Nina Dolino, Justin Gonzales, Joem Bascon, Nicole Uysieuseng, Leo Rialp, Roden Araneta and Laurice Guillen. (AJPress)
