Lorna TolentinoThe multi-awarded actress shines in ‘Sa ‘Yo Lamang’

Considered to be one of the most respected and admired personalities in Philippine show business, Victoria Lorna Aluquin-Fernandez—better known as Lorna Tolentino or "LT," is making sure it stays that way as she makes a grand comeback in Star Cinema’s 17th anniversary movie presentation, Sa’yo Lamang which premiered last September 1.

LT has been absent in the big screen for three years, with her last movie being Katas ng Saudi with Jinggoy Estrada as her co-star in 2007. The film also won her an award from the Filipino Academy for Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) for her role as the wife of Estrada.

It was a year later, dated June 7, that Lorna faced the most tragic part of her life—her husband, the late action star Rudy Fernandez passing away. Although hurt, Lorna managed to show a composed and a courageous face not only before her family and friends, but also to their fans.

During an interview with ABS-CBN, Lorna shared that working will never be the same without Rudy around to share her experiences. She said that during Katas ng Saudi, she reads all her scripts to Rudy at home.

"Ngayong wala na siya siyempre nakaka-miss ‘yung ganun (Now that he’s gone, that’s the part I’ll surely miss), " Lorna said in an interview with ABSCBNnews.com.

Nevertheless, Lorna believes Rudy is happy for her as she continues to move on with her life pursuing the things that she loves to do--one of which is acting.

Lorna expressed her excitement during an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN) when she first learned that she is going to be a part of a family oriented movie. Not to mention, be working with the veteran actor Christopher de Leon and the finest young actors of today; among them is Bea Alonzo, whom she has worked with in the teleserye Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay.

In making the movie Sa’yo Lamang, Lorna tells in a separate interview with ABS-CBN news about how director Laurice Guillen told her to be one with her character "Amanda" as it seems to be a character most wife and mothers like her can relate to. She says it can be hard going back to painful memories but says it was all worth it considering the turn out of the movie was a complete success.
