Don’t be weighed down by debt problems: Plug yourself to ultimate power

IT IS hard to imagine why you should not worry about your debt problems, right? Probably everyone reading this article thinks that the right thing to do if you have debt problems is to worry about them, as if worrying does anything to correct the problem. “I have a lot of debt. I can’t pay them anymore. I can’t sleep because I worry about my debt.”  I have heard this refrain so many times in my practice. Clients tell me this all the time. Today, I will probably hear this 3 or 4 times. Here’s a new one I was told yesterday: I was walking on the sidewalk. I was so worried thinking about my debts I did not see there was another step. I tripped and fell on my face on the cement. Worrying about your debt problems can literally kill you! Here’s yet another one I was told recently: I forgot to turn off my car because I was worried about my debt.
So, the first thing you should do when you have debt problems is don’t stress over them. Don’t worry about them. What’s the next thing you should do? Go to God and Jesus, my God, the God of Moses and Israel, who sent His only and beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to us, became man through the Blessed Virgin Mary, and who willingly suffered and died on the cross for us because He loved us so, to redeem us from the consequences of sin, so that we may have eternal live with Them in heaven.
2 Corinthians 4:16: We do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
Psalm 73:23: Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.
What do these truths mean? They mean that you are being renewed day by day. So do not be weighed down by yesterday’s failures and disappointments.
Do not be weighted down by your debt problems. Begin this day anew, seeking to please Jesus and His Father. Focus on them right now. Because when you do that, they will transform you and your journey through life. Your journey filled with problems, pain and worries will be transformed into a journey full of Joy and Peace because they are with you each step of the way!
We cannot renew ourselves from our own efforts. You can try all kinds of meditation techniques. These will provide you superficial, false and temporary sense of peace. To be truly renewed, we have to have to walk with Jesus and God the Father and be renewed by their power. You know how your cell phone batteries are recharged. You have to plug them into an electrical outlet. That outlet in turn receives its power from an electrical grid that distributes electricity from a huge power generator.  Your cell phone has no ability to regenerate itself. It’s the same with us. We have no power to regenerate ourselves. All we can do is worry about our problems. We have to plug ourselves into the ultimate power source to get renewed.
And who is the ultimate power source in the universe? Who else but God Almighty, YAHWEH, and His Son, Jesus! He created the entire universe! Can you even imagine that kind of power? It’s beyond imagination. He created the earth and everything on it. He created us. The seas, the mountains, the plants, the flowers, the elephants, the lions, all the animals, the dolphins, the whales, every living thing on this earth, He created them by merely thinking about them.
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Go to Jesus. He will bring you to His Father, the ultimate power in the Universe. That is how you renew yourself and that is how you plug yourself into infinite power.
