Professors from the University of The Philippines College of Engineering will be in the Bay Area for the Philippine Development Forum (http://www.af-usa.org/forumgala.html) sponsored by the Ayala Foundation USA. In addition, the group composed of College of Engineering Dean Dr. Aura C. Matias, Diliman Vice Chancellor for Research and Development Dr. Luis G. Sison and Professor Dr. Rowena Cristina L. Guevara wil meet with the UP Alumni Association of San Francisco (UPAASF) on September 24, Friday 5:15 PM-8:00 PM @ Rm 111 Jerry Yang & Akkiko Yamazati Bldg : 473 Via Ortega St. Stanford University.
Dr. Rowena Guevara, a resource speaker in the Forum on Science & Technology Education, will discuss the just recently concluded Centennial Celebration of the UP College of Engineering, ongoing events, milestones, accomplishments, opportunities in the Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERcT), outlook for the next three years of the UP College of Engineering and opportunities for collaboration and Venture Capital in UP Diliman. For its part, the UPAASF will share its plan to launch a Mentoring Program in the FilAm community.
