Asian Law Alliance celebrates 35th anniversary

The Asian Law Alliance (ALA) will celebrate its 35th  Anniversary on Friday, March 30, 2012 at the San Jose Fairmont Hotel 170 S. Market St., San Jose 5:30pm for cocktails, 7pm dinner, and 8pm program. As part of the celebration, awards will be presented to Brian Cabrera, General Counsel Synopsys, Mariano-Florentino Cuellar Professor of Law Stanford Law School and Ashwin Navin, Co-Founder/CEO Flingo and Co-Founder i/o ventures. NBC Bay Area Anchor and Reporter Janelle Wang will emcee the event. The Dinner Committee Co-Chairs for the event are Ernest Y. Hsin from the law firm of Gibson Dunn, Lennies Gutierrez from Comcast and Cupertino City Council member Gilbert Wong.

ALA’s Executive Director Richard Konda stated that, “Legal Impact Honoree Brian Cabrera the General Counsel of Synopsys has an extraordinary record in supporting legal services for low income individuals.  He has served on the Board and also been President of the Board of the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley.  The legal department of Synopsys has also been recognized for their strong commitment to diversity.

Asian Law Alliance (ALA) is a non-profit organization established in 1977 to provide equal access to the justice system for the Asian/Pacific Islander and low-income populations in Santa Clara County.  By providing legal counseling, community education and community organizing services, ALA seeks to promote dignity, self-reliance and a better quality of life for the people we assist.

Tickets to the ALA 35th Anniversary are $200.00 per person.
