GOOD news for our kababayans traveling back home between February 14 - March 25, 2012!
Philippine Airlines is increasing the FREE check-in baggage allowance (FBA) weight from 50 lbs. per piece to 70 lbs. per piece. This means PAL passengers can bring in more pasalubongs for their loved ones in the Philippines.
This special promo applies only to passengers buying their tickets from February 14 - February 29, 2012. Eligible routes include Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas flights bound for Manila. The offer is applicable to all fares on flights PR 103, PR 113, PR 107 and PR 105.
Normally, PAL passengers are only allowed two check-in baggages, each piece weighing not more than 50 lbs. An excess baggage fee is charged for pieces weighing more than 50 pounds. But for the period between February 14 - March 25, 2012, you can check in as much as 70 pounds per piece- for free.
The extra baggage allowance applies ONLY on the Outbound Transpacific sector (LAX/SFO/LAS to MNL). The return from Manila to the US ( MNL to LAX/SFO/LAS) remains at 50 lbs. per piece.
