SAN FRANCISCO - As part of a new statewide initiative, the Filipino-American Democratic Caucus (FADC) of the California Democratic Party is reviving local Filipino-American Democratic Clubs in selected California counties.  The first area being targeted is Alameda County.

Timothy Dayonot, the Northern California Chair of the FADC, is leading this effort in Northern California.  “Alameda County has large Filipino-American population who are registered Democrats and several years ago, had a vibrant and active Fil-Am Democratic club.  It is time to bring this group back to life.  We invite Fil-Am Democrats who live in Alameda County to attend the revival meeting of this club.”  Dr. Jennifer Ong of Hayward is also helping coordinate this event.

The revival meeting will take place in Hayward on Saturday, July 11th, 2009, from 3:00-4:00pm at the La Paradis Restaurant, 22809 Mission Blvd., (off “D” Street, parking in rear).  Snacks and light refreshments will be served.
