On Wednesday, September 30, 2009, Ayala Foundation USA (AF USA) will bring together some highly respected Filipino American entrepreneurs and business visionaries to share their story. Entitled Enterpreneurship & Philantrophy: Filipino American Profiles of Success, this exclusive business seminar rides on the success of a similar event held earlier this year in New York.
This special event is being held for the benefit of AF USA and the programs it supports in the Philippines. AF USA acts as a "Bridge of Hope across the Seas", linking Filipinos in the US to Filipinos in the motherland. Many Filipinos are eager to give back, to reach out and to help. But they often do not know how, what programs have shown impact on the ground and whom to trust.
AF USA offers its seven years of experience in the US and 47 years of work of Ayala Foundation in the Philippines to raise awareness of social concerns in the country and to offer a menu of legitimate Philippine-based non-profits with strategic programs that have a track record for effectiveness, impact and efficiency.
Event speakers include:
Dado Banatao, a very well respected Filipino venture capitalist and technology visionary in Silicon Valley responsible for launching several successful companies
Sheila Marcelo, founder of Care.com, Upromise and TheLadders.com
Winston Damarillo, an open source technology entrepreneur and investor
