Parsippany, NJ -  On Saturday, November 15, United Way’s Caregivers Coalition of Morris County is hosting a comprehensive Caregivers Resource Fair to support those who provide care for loved ones of any age with issues of aging, disability, or mental health.  The Fair will be held at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Avenue, Parsippany, from 10:00am – 2:00pm.  The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees will have access to over 50 local organizations providing services and support to caregivers and their loved ones, including home health agencies, care managers, benefits specialists, mobility specialists, mental health agencies, independent living centers, nursing homes, elder law attorneys, hospice, visiting nurse organizations, and more.

Free massages, blood pressure screenings, benefits consultations, and demonstrations of mobility equipment and devices will be available.

Light refreshments will be provided.

The Caregivers Resource Fair is being held to celebrate November as National Family Caregivers Month, which honors the nation’s caregivers. In Morris County alone, over 50,000 caregivers care for a parent, a spouse, a child, or a sibling, who is aging, living with a disability, a chronic condition, or mental illness.  The Caregivers Coalition, an initiative of United Way of Morris County, works on many fronts to strengthen services, resources, and access to information for caregivers.
