Reflections creator Monet Lu is calling on past Reflections honorees, from the years 1988 through 2007, to contact the Reflections organization in connection with their participation in the 20th and final event on Saturday, November 22, 2008.

Since its inception, the Reflections Asian-American Awards has ruled as the premier fashion and recognition event in Southern California’s Fil-Am society scene.

This November 2008, the production is staging its 20th run and promises to be in its best form.

After all, 20 years is a milestone, says Monet, the CEO of Events Specialists International which is behind the show. Reflecting on the past 19 years, Monet fondly remembers both challenges and triumphs. The first six years was a learning curve but from Year 7 and onwards, the show became more of a fun commitment on Monet’s part.

“Every year is still a learning experience but it has become much more enjoyable, especially since there’s a higher purpose involved,” says the executive producer.

The vision of Reflections is to unify Filipinos in the US, celebrate the goodness and the very best of the Fil-Am community with a touch of glamour!

To this day, Monet says he is still in awe that the show has attracted the brightest luminaries over the years such as Lea Salonga, Lou Diamond Phillips, Tia Carrere, Gretchen Barretto, Apl.de.ap, Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado, Cher Calvin, Cris Judd, Billy Crawford, Lorna Tolentino, Annabelle Rama, Ino Austria, Jocelyn Enriquez, Rene Salud, Dawn Zulueta, Ruffa Gutierrez, Kuh Ledesma, Richard Gomez, Aga Muhlach, Nora Aunor, Alessendra de Rossi, Chito Roño, Eddie Gutierrez, Elwood Perez, Dr. Vicki Belo, Dr. Zein Obagi, and many more.

The 20th Reflections Awards is scheduled for November 2008 at the Marriott Downtown Los Angeles. Talks are rife that this may be the last and final bow of the venerable Fil-Am society gala.
