“As AAPIP celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, we reflect on the need to lead the next generation of philanthropists and activists for our communities. AAPIP echoes APCF’s enthusiasm in supporting this year’s awardees, without whom our long-term vision for social justice and community philanthropy could not continue,” said Joyce Ybarra, Co-chair of AAPIP-LA.
At the event, APCF’s Board of Directors & Friends Giving Circle also presented a $5,000 Environmental Impact Grant Award to Khmer Girls in Action for their outreach and education program to expand the understanding of environmental justice that links environmental indicators to poor health outcomes in urban areas. This is the second grant award from the APCF Board of Directors & Friends Giving Circle, which was launched through APCF in 2008.
