THE annual Simbang Gabi at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will be held on December 15, 2008 at 6:30 pm. Cardinal Roger Mahony will be the main celebrant. Bring your parish group/organization’s parol and banner for the Parade of Parols.
The event is sponsored by Our Lady of the Angels Region under the auspices of the Office of Filipino Ministry Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Parol Guidelines
The parol should be maximum of 3 feet in dimension but not smaller than 2 feet in an 8 foot tall pole with a stand.
The banner (maximum of 3 feet width and 7 feet height) should be hanging vertically from the parol. Five representatives from the group can process with the parol.
The parol can be lighted during the parade provided you use a portable battery.
During the mass, all lights on the parol should be turned off to avoid distraction.
