THE Executive Committee of the Ateneo Alliance USA (AAAUSA) held a meeting June 13th to finalize the plans of the upcoming All Ateneo Alumni International Convention scheduled for July 1-4, 2010. The 4-day event will take place at the Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites, 1700 So. Harbor Blvd, Ca 92802, right across from the Disneyland Theme Park (714) 772-5900, or visit www.anaheimplaza hotel.com).The group met at the 11th floor offices of the Preferred College of Nursing on Wilshire Blvd., the former headquarters of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
The event is the 9th Convention which started in 1994, in Las Vegas, and held every two years since then in different USA and Canada States hosted by various Ateneo Alumni groups. As an All Ateneo event, the group is composed of Ateneans from Manila, Naga, Cagayan de Oro, Davao and Zamboanga. Lately, two other Ateneo schools were added to the Jesuit-run schools in the Philippines: Ateneo de Iloilo (formerly Sta. Maria Catholic School of Iloilo) and Ateneo de Cebu (formerly Sacred School of Cebu-Jesuits).
Ateneo Presidents and Alumni Directors are coming all the way from the Philippines to attend this gathering as they had done in past Conventions (San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, New York-New Jersey, Toronto, San Diego, and Chicago).
