The call for wise use of credit cards

CREDIT cards were first introduced to the public about 50 years ago, in 1959. With the introduction of credit cards, consumers were given new choices in how to pay for costly purchases that they had previously had to save for and pay in cash. Using credit cards allowed people to purchase goods without having sufficient funds immediately on hand, and without reaching new terms every time they wanted to purchase on credit.

Credit cards didn’t create credit; they just simplified the process of receiving credit and made credit available to many more individuals.

Bankruptcy petition: Single or joint

MARRIED people are allowed by the bankruptcy code to file joint petitions. A husband and wife can file one joint chapter 7 case and pay only one filing fee, not two. However, all assets and liabilities whether community, joint, or separate must be listed in the petition. On the other hand, a husband or wife may file a single bankruptcy petition by his or herself without including spouse. In this case, only joint and community assets need to be listed in the petition. Separate property of the non-filing spouse does not have to be listed, and of course, debts of the non-filing spouse are not listed in the bankruptcy petition. In other words, a married person may file a joint bankruptcy petition together with his or her spouse, or a single petition by himself or herself. How do these situations happen?

Grand view approach to business – considering your building

YOUR business office may be located in a house, mall, business complex or a high-rise. Each location type is endowed with a certain kind of energy that should be taken into account when applying a Grand View feng shui approach to your business. Just like locating your business where it will thrive on a global level, you must continue applying your compatible orientation all the way down to the office building, the office room, and the direction within the room for optimum desk placement.

Let’s say your business is in your home. From your birth chart, find the room in the house that matches you and your business. In a mall or high-rise, find the unit within the entire complex that matches you. Along with the direction that matches you, check and see if that direction is also positive within the annual and 20-Year Flying Nine Star charts. It is the interaction between all of the Grand View factors that makes the difference. Once the energetic interaction is determined by a master, you will know what recommendations will really serve you. Basing adjustments on one factor alone may inadvertently adjust the energy incorrectly and create instability.

IF YOU needed the deed to your home, title to your car or passport, could you quickly locate it?

We all know it’s important to organize personal documents. Knowing where certain documents are can be crucial in case of a family emergency or natural disaster. Equally important is where those documents are stored. It’s also important that other family members or a person you trust knows where your documents can be found.

Hubris and the Folly of Youth

"The deepest definition of youth is life as yet untouched by tragedy."

—Alfred North Whitehead

(STORIEScan teach, heal, entertain, remind and bring home a message with laser-like accuracy and oftentimes, with latent comment. They appeal to all ages. Ilike retelling the old classics. Like organic fruits and vegetables from an older gene pool, these stories come with neither manipulation nor artificial embellishments, and perhaps, are a good thing to chew on. Simple, organic, direct — these are the stories we remember. Here’s one helping.)

Long ago in the island of Crete, there lived a man named Daedalus, who was famed for his skills as an inventor. He worked for King Minos. Foremost among his many achievements was building the labyrinth in which the king kept the Minotaur, a fearsome, legendary beast who was half-man and half-bull that fed on human flesh. It was said that anyone who went into the labyrinth never came out of it again because of its complex, undecipherable winding walls and corridors.
