THEO calls and tells me he’s saved enough money for his feng shui consultation and he’s ready for me to come to his home. I can tell right away that Theo is an earnest man who is serious about feng shui. Although Theo is good at his movie production job, it is not his true passion. He is a musician at heart and wants to compose and create his own album but hasn’t been able to because of spending all his time and energy trying to make a living.

I gather Theo’s birthday information. He is of the Western Direction Pattern, meaning his compatible directions are west, northwest, northeast, and southwest. Theo was also born in the year of the Sheep, making it his year of challenge.

Driving up to Theo’s home, I notice his street gets increasingly narrow and concludes in a dead end. As I park in front of his home, I notice there is a wind chime and bagua mirror over his front door. He has obviously made feng shui adjustments before. My eyes follow the reflection of the bagua mirror to across the street where there is a 6-foot cement block wall. It is a cold gray wall with some decorative tall grass growing in front of it to counter its hardness. I walk up to Theo’s front door and can hear him unlocking it as he calls out a greeting.

As we begin a tour of Theo’s house, I see that the entry is flanked by two walls, making a rather dark and narrow foyer. This minimizes the energy coming into the house. I mentally note that the front door also aligns directly with the fireplace in the living room, which consumes any wealth entering through the front door.

My compass shows that the front door is in the north, which is not compatible to Theo’s Western Direction Pattern energies. I explain to Theo that this year, a door in alignment with the north can bring the middle age male (such as Theo) harm, injury,or accident related to his head or kidney areas. Since it is his year of challenge, Theo must be particularly cautious of car accidents, drunk drivers, tricky people, and money loss or extreme challenges in his business. Theo then revealed that he was in an accident just two weeks ago. A drunk driver crashed headon into his car and Theo barely missed being critically injured. He has also bumped his head hard on the job, each time barely escaping extreme trauma.
