The 18th century replica of the miraculous image of Jesus of Nazarene was owned by the late Dona Mercedes Syquia de Villar of Vigan, Ilocos Sur, and was inherited by her son, beauty impresario Ferdie Syquia de Villar. Ferdie personally brought the image with him when he moved here in San Francisco 39 years ago.
