MIRROR, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of the two chosen finalists for Club Royale Queen for 2011? Everything will be known and a new queen will be proclaimed on Saturday, September 11 at 12 noon at the newly-renovated $23-million Grand Ballroom of the Marriot Marquis in San Francisco.

Former Club Royale King Dirk Willem Hinsi, now the senior account executive of the five-star hotel and Club Royale President Gil Navarro with his wife grand dame Jett Viray Navarro will co-host the VIP party.

The two beautiful ladies contending for the title are Daly City community matron Hermie Revilla Lavarias, deputy sales manager of the Philippine Airlines office in San Francisco; and Regie Santiago Panganiban, a certified nurse and now administrator of Sunshine Home Health in Pleasanton.

The Club Royale’s well-acclaimed charitable mission with the accent of elegance and royal pageantry is back with immense proportions. The club’s influence and outreach has now grown through the enthusiasm of elite Filipino-Americans throughout Northern California.

The reception committee who will receive the guests during the affair will be headed by Club Royale Hall of Fame Awardee, beauty impresario Ferdie Villar; and former Club Royale Kings Rolly Mungues, Dirk Willem Hinsi, Jim Novo, Benny Piotrokowski, LIto Custodio; and former Queens Maria Clara Viray, ellen Goco, Joyese Sneed, Aurora Viray, Linda Standcliff and Selfa Haenny.

California State Commissioner Rey Benitez Satorre heads this year’s Board of Regents, while Daly City Councilman David Canepa heads the executive board which is composed of Fernand and Susan Taneda, Ernest and Susan Pacifico, Nelly and Robert Cojuangco, Loyda David, Suresh and Rema Vasa, Lambert and Dorie Paniza, George and Vivian Ventura, Walter and Maria Back, Tony and Azela Conejero, Ching Evaristo, Bradley Roxas, Rom and Lina Oller, Rufino and Perla Valencia, Tessie Labitoria, Elaine Estabrooks, Ramon and Susan Bunag; and Marivin and Merrianne Cuaresma.

The table centerpieces will be prepared by Bituin Ignacio, Marc and Cora Garvida, and Elizabeth Pasco. Attire is semi-formal.

This year’s honorary members include Elizabeth Labitoria, former Milpitas Mayor Jose "Joe" Esteves, Darlene Darata, Connie Gaspar, Christine Paul, Dolly Baclig, Donald Vernon, Noel Nuguit, Edwina Aniag, Jose Panlilio, Flordelis Mayapis, Leonard and Luming Coronel, Richard Lao, Clarita "Baby" Byron, and Annabelle Guevarra.
