With the end every season is the beginning of a new style. It’s always nice to welcome new seasons with an updated look.

This can be done by a simple haircut, or a change in hair color or perhaps by nourishing hair to revive its natural vibrancy.

Most of my regular clients like to start the season with all of the above. They say it keeps them on top of their game; it’s like a boost of confidence for them.

Fall 2009 brings in familiar hair colors you might fall in love with. Asian skin is partial to rich reds and brunette shades. It accentuates our "mysterious" side.

If you want to keep it safe, you can always go for the dimensional earth tones. It’s subtle and classy. You can’t go wrong with this hair color.

For the bolder personalities, blonde makes a fun statement. This year, blonde paired with lowlights is all the rage. Done properly, this shading imbues sophistication on the wearer.

The good, ol’ classic cuts and hair styles can still make you look brand new! Under proper hands, simple cuts can bring about extraordinary transformations.

Layers add a certain definition to medium-length or long hair. I’ve been seeing a lot of fashion forward women sport layers with their shoulder-length hair. For long-haired women who have heart-, square-, or round-shaped faces, layers also work provided it is molded closely to the edge of the hair so that it elongates the face. For the oval-shaped, shorter layers are more appropriate. Sassy Layers are very easy to manage as well.

For obvious reasons, bangs work well for people who have wider foreheads. This haircut is a nice fit for women who have straight or chemically relaxed hair. If you have curly hair, bangs should be administered with caution. Make sure it’s slightly above your lashes so that it looks flattering. The thing about bangs though is you have to maintain the ideal length that works for you, otherwise, the effect is not quite there.
