Saying "Thank You" is one of the most gracious gestures that keep us humble. It’s simple and yet it holds a very powerful message when used sincerely.
I’m grateful to a lot of people for the important roles they play in my life, most especially during this past weekend at the 20th Reflections Awards.
We enjoyed another successful year of Reflections and I owe it to many individuals whose commitment to the project resulted in its soaring success.
Thank you to Monty Tirasol, Mila Dela Cruz, Marian Maraya, Adeline Barnuevo, George Montero, Ted Benito, Lou Sabas, Miki De Jesus, Elaine Quadra, Joji Oliveros, Cristy, Joseph Calderon, Hazel Lacy, Jo Cruz, Mel Ordasa, Helen Santos, Eileen Santos, Gilbert, Conille Tanig, Ranella Ferrer, Kapono Koblyanski, Michelle Chavez, Joy Glorioso, Edna Suffredini, Joseph Paloma, Alvin Paris, Erina Lightholder, Rene Roque, Gigi Sebastian, Ding Sambile, Joey Buscay, Carla, Jun Capistrano, Michelle Molina, Maridy, Boyet Arcega, Connie De Leon, Rose Paredes, Tony Pineda, Aida Quillo, Jenny Marzon, and Angeli Lacson. Each of these individuals contributed to the overall success of the show.

I hold nothing but praises for the talented individuals who hosted Reflections 20 last Nov. 22—broadway actor Alan Wong, journalist April Tiamzon, balladeer Sonny Madera and beauty queen Feilani Rubin. These individuals have a brighter career ahead of them because of their professionalism. I first met Alan at a party here in L.A. I immediately detected an extraordinary ability in this young gentleman and so without hesitation, I recommended him for an event hosting gig which he unsurprisingly he aced. That was the first gig of several more to follow. He’s really making a mark because of his excellent improvisation skills. April Tiamzon, who flew all the way from New York for Reflections 20, is also a bright and talented young lady. She was crowned Mutya Ng Uliran during the Uliran Awards in 2005. After seeing her shine on stage, I’ve approached her so many times to host my events but the timing was never right--until last Nov. 22, 2008 when the stars finally aligned.
There are several distinguished women I also would like to thank for their kindness and contribution to the success of Reflections 20. One of them is Ms. Lou Baron. I’ve known her for a long time, having directed her in a TV-movie project years back. But it was only recently that I was given another opportunity to get to know her better. She was one of the presenters of the Lou Razon couture collection during Saturday’s affair. Being in Ms. Lou Baron’s company is a pleasure. She is a very gracious, elegant lady. I’m glad that Reflections 20 gave us the chance to reconnect once again. I thank you for your support.
Another distinguished lady whose presence I greatly appreciated last Saturday was that of Ms. Cora Aragon Soriano. Ms Soriano was awardee of excellence in community service during Reflections 19. The energy she brings to people is very upbeat and inspiring. I appreciate your friendship, Ms. Cora. Thank you for being so nice and I hope we will have more opportunities to bond.
Finally, I give a warm shout-out to a petite, young lady whose generosity of spirit is so refreshing—Ms Olivia Quido. Olivia was one of the presenters of the Lou Razon couture last Nov. 22 and a past Reflections awardee of excellence in skincare. Olivia isalways a breath of fresh air—friendly and accommodating. At the same time, she’s an excellent aesthetician (and owner of O Skin Care).
I feel very blessed to be surrounded by all these wonderful people. Thank you so much for enriching my life.
Once again, thank you to everyone who made Reflections 20 a huge success.
A merry Thanksgiving weekend to all!
