Taking Care of Senior Relatives

(2 votes, average: 3.00 out of 5)

THIS weeks’ column is about taking care of your senior relatives. It could be challenging if they do not have health insurance or dental insurance coverages. In fact, I found out that a cap for a tooth costs about $ 800. That’s a lot of money to spend at one time. Not to mention, there’s medication that they will need also. Anyway, I hope the following items will be able to help you or at least give you some ideas:

Go to the local government office in your area and find out the requirements to apply for a Medicare/Medical card

For caregivers: Overcoming depression

A CAREGIVER’S task is hard.   They take care of the elderly or the disabled 24 hours a day, 6-days a week.  From preparing meals to organizing daily meds, their week is busy all the time.  Like everyone else, they get depressed too. Keeping Relationships Interesting

(1 vote, average: 5.00 out of 5)
How do you keep your relationship interesting and fun even if you’ve been married or have been dating for over 4-5 years?  I’m sure a lot of you are asking yourselves this question.  Well, I’m no expert on the subject.  However, sometimes you don’t need an expert opinion—a practical one will do.  So here goes:

Finding an Immigration Lawyer

How do you find a good, if not a great immigration lawyer? This is an interesting topic as it affects those who are moving from the Philippines to the US.  However, before we look into the outside source—we need to look into ourselves first.  Are you a tourist when you first entered the country and have decided to stay?  Are you currently employed or  have an employer that is willing to file a work petition on your behalf?  Do you have a relative that petitioned you?  Or did you come to the US on a fiancée visa?  In other words, you need to understand your situation and  to gather all the documents required prior to seeing an immigration lawyer. so that you can arm yourselves  with as much information before you set an appointment for consultation.

On Dating

This week is going to be about dating.  I received a letter asking for advice in regards to dating.  How can one tell when a guy is serious about a relationship or just interested in having fun? Hard question and it indeed got me thinking.  The answer is – you won’t know.  However, there are pit falls that you can avoid.  So here goes:

After a few months of dating, he’s/she’s pressuring you to do thing that you do not want to do.
