Weight reduction tips. Typically weight loss is all about cutting back—less fat, fewer calories, lower carbs—but here’s one key addition most dieters should consider. H2O researchers at Virginia Tech discovered that people who drank two-full glasses of water prior to eating a meal lost, on average, about five pounds more than non-drinkers during the 12-week clinical trial. Supplementing your diet with water increases feelings of satiation, encouraging you to set the fork down earlier in your meal (Spirit Magazine, January 2011, p. 44)
This latest discovery of the researchers at Virginia Tech confirmed the testimonial of my friend Rosalie on drinking HEXAGON alkaline hydrogen water before meals to control obesity and have successful natural weight loss (request your copy of HEXAGON Alkaline Water, Obesity & Weight Loss for detailed testimonial). Another friend Robert Baylosis, a diabetic, confirmed in his testimonial that drinking HEXAGON alkaline hydrogen water helped control his diabetes and eventually stopped taking the metformin prescription drug (request your copy of Alkaline Hydrogen Water Helps Control Diabetes” for detailed testimonial) For those who can’t afford the HEXAGON Alkaline Hydrogen filtration system machine, Kadok’s Bahay Kubo is offering affordable Alkaline Hydrogen filtrated bottled drinking water at $2.50 per bottle of HEXAGON Drinking Water and $1 per refill. Just call Albert Tejada at (650) 271-4929, (415) 333-4685 or visit KADOK’S Bahay Kubo at 4794 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94112.

Grandparents Day. My wife Virginia Jimenez-Madlaing and I were blessed to attend the 4th birthday celebration of our youngest grandson Brendon Madlaing-Gacusan last weekend in Peoria (suburb of Phoenix), Arizona. We were fortunate to attend the Grandparents Day program at the Southwest Christian School in Phoenix, with our two grandsons, Jeremiah Madlaing-Gacusan and Brendon Madlaing-Gacusan, participating in the program. Jane Wasson, principal of Southwest Christian School challenged the grandparents to develop special bonding with the grandchildren. “Share your experiences, your life and history with your grandchildren,” she said in her closing remarks.
Our four-day stay (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in Arizona is one of the most precious and memorable time with our grandchildren. We enjoyed watching our grandchildren played at the Little League. We attended worship services together (grandsons, daughter Wynema Madlaing-Gacusan, her husband Benjamin Gacusan, Jr. and her mother-in-law Marcelina Gacusan) at the Northwest Church of Christ in Glendale (another suburb of Phoenix), Arizona. Yes, last weekend, I developed special bonding not only with my two grandchildren but also with the family dog, “Buster.”
