As one of the evangelists of the Golden Gate Church of Christ in San Francisco, California, I was glad to read last week’s Philippines Today’s inspirational thought: I would rather live my life as if there is God and die to find out there isn’t, than to live my life as if there is no God and to find out there is. Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil—it has no point.
The other day, Bro. Denny Petrillo of Denver, Colorado shared a timely Daily Devotional entitled All is Vanity. After series of testimonials on the natural healing powers of water and the benefits of the JCCAN financial workshops, I would like to share to our readers and the general public some excerpts of the Daily Devotional on All is Vanity for balance physical, financial and spiritual life.
“When King Solomon penned these words, ‘All is Vanity,’ he was describing a condition in life in which there was no substance or essence; nothing of lasting or redeeming value. This is certainly a bleak view of life. Is there nothing that we have or do that is vain?
“Solomon, the wisest king in his time, was teaching us two eternal truths: First, there is much in this world that is vain. Our priorities can get out of kelter. We major in minors. We “strain gnat and swallow the camel: (Matthew 23:24). How hard is it for men to discover what is really important! They have spent lifetimes building empires, amassing great fortunes, receiving the praises of men. “Vanity!” replies King Solomon. “It is all vanity!” But why? Isn’t all that hard work worth something? Isn’t the wealth a testimony to one’s greatness? No, says the wise King Solomon. They are merely an example of misplaced priorities.
“Second, only God can define and determine what is valuable. We have to remember that God sees the eternal. He knows that earthly priorities can often distract us from eternal. He knows that wealth (Luke 12:13-21), family (Matthew 10:37) lust and pride (I John 2:15-16) can keep us from salvation. Men, therefore, are not able to distinguish between the valuable and vain without divine guidance. So what did God declare as valuable? The ending of Ecclesiastes gives it to us: “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Out of all the works a man can do, these two, fear of God and keeping His commandments, are the pinnacles of one’s existence.
“No one wants to feel like a failure. Therefore, it is crucial each one of us to determine to priorities our lives, loves and interests. We must “seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If we not do these, then King Solomon will summarize our lives as “vanity.” But if we put God first, He will summarize our lives with these words: “Well done good and faithful servant”

Ann Sabiniano’s 83rd birthday. I was blessed to attend last Saturday the 83rd birthday party of Ann Sabiniano which was organized by her children at the Sabiniano Residence in San Francisco. The surprise birthday party was attended by her children, grandchildren, close friends and relatives. Ann was founder of the Pearl of the Orient Club and former Commissioner of the Land Marks Commission and Status of Women Commission during the administrations of the late San Francisco Mayor George Moscone, late Mayor Joseph Alioto and former San Francisco Mayor and now US Senator Diane Feinstein. HAVE A BLESSED AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANN!
72-year-old diabetic discovers natural healing of Hexagon Water. After reading the series of testimonials of Robert Baylosis, Albert Tejada, two accountants my friend Rosalie on how Hexagon water helped control their diabetes, obesity and degenerative diseases (e.g. arthritis, back ache, stiff neck, ulcer, asthma, hypertension, angina, lupus, cancer and others), Luis Abello called me from Sacramento, California and asked where he could buy and try the Hexagon Alkaline Hydrogen water. The 72-year-old retiree had been a diabetic for more than 10 years. He had been taking two prescription drugs for diabetes. His condition was getting worse because despite the two prescription drugs he is taking, his sugar level reading is 215 plus. I told him to try the Hexagon water by drinking one glass of Hexagon water with empty stomach upon waking up in the morning; and continue drinking Hexagonwater every 2-3 hours daily.
On February 18, Friday, Mr. Abello drove all the way from Sacramento to the Kadok’s Bahay Kubo Restaurant in San Francisco to buy Hexagon water in two big containers which was good supply for five days. On February 22, Tuesday morning, Mr. Abello called me and shared the exciting news. After half day of drinking Hexagon water, his sugar level reading on Saturday morning (February 18, 2011) went down to 200. He said that his sugar level reading went down 30 points everyday. On the fourth day, his sugar level reading went down to 130!
Last Saturday, Mr. Abello came to our JCCAN Corporate Office in Fremont to get more Hexagon water in three big containers. “I want to stop taking the prescription drugs for diabetes because of the dangerous side effects. Even the pain in my leg joints, body aches and arthritis are getting better after drinking the Hexagon water daily. I’m definitely buying the Hexagon machine by the end of this month,” the 72-year-old diabetic said.
