Motivate yourself from time to time and ‘set goals’

AM I all about business of Real Estate? Of course! But you have to have a balanced life to be happy with what you’re doing. I thought of doing this article because I spoke to a caller who said something that stuck to my mind and lead me and encouraged me to write about something else that might help you in your day to day living here in the US.

What drives me to do this, some of you might say? I just helped an elderly couple go through a rigorous process of Loan Modification in order to keep their home and keep them in the house. It’s a lot harder for an elderly couple to move not only physically but 100% emotionally. I just sent them a full packet of documents I gathered from the county for them to preceed with their process. The elderly lady told me how can I be so nice and she kept thanking me.

As you all know I am a Mortgage broker by trade for over 24 years and have written article to advises, inform, educate and to help since 1993. I do this to help people understand what to look for when they are soliciting for mortgage business, soliciting for Realtors and Loan Modification Companies.

I have always believed that we as mature men & weman have to always have a mentor, or have to have a direction in life. Don’t let the time take over our lives, before you know it you are already too old to do anything you like to you can. I will share with you some insights of my recent seminar pertaining to our daily lives, motivational seminars are key for me to be able to look at myself everyday and say I am ready to go to work, ready to battle my three young kids and wife. Ready to battle the day to day stress that we all go thru here in the US. Stop and don’t think that by being somewhere else, they don’t have problems, as we get older and earn more responsibilities; we also have to adopt dealing with stress. Always look at the green grass around us before looking somewhere else, because every grass will have dry spots regardless of how much watering or fertilizer is being sprayed.

I have read a lot of motivational books all the way from Zig Zigler, Brian Tracy, Tony Robins, Mark Sheer, Ricardo Semler, Tom Hopkins, Conrad Hilton to name a few. Now I am working on a book series by Janet Lowe. A friend of mine told me that all motivational seminars and speeches have one goal, and that is to sell you tapes and books. I said to him, I know that and I am willing to go and see what I can learn from them even if I have to buy their books or CD’s. Because if you learn just one thing from the seminar that you can carry your whole life and it will improve your life forever, isn’t that worth $50 or $ 100.We spend nowaday’s $ 100 for a pair of jeans and some people buy more than what they can use, we spend money on things we hardly ever use, we buy electronics equipment every 6 months. With no value what so ever and you tell me you don’t want to pay $ 50 for a CD that might change your life. All you have to do is open your mind and things will start to change.

Things I learned from this recent Seminar (online) from Mike Ferry, Top # 1 motivational speaker for Realtors. He is advising that we have to never stop and always have to be on the Go. Always be ready to re-arrange our lives around stumbling blocks or so called road blocks. For example, you are hit with a three hour traffic and you could make a right and two lefts that might take only about one hour, are you just going to sit and wait? Translation to life could be a couple of years of our lives without turning back. We have to maximize our time by BEING AWARE OF IT. We have to stop at the end of a long hard day and realize what we did for that day, spend 10 mins, just to think and analyze about your day. Tell me if you are like most of us that are realizing we actually did very little in one day but we seem like we are out of time. That is why we have to be aware of what we are doing, this translate to everything in life, not only real estate, but life in general. We have to believe in the LAW OF REALITY, we cannot be creative in life if we can’t see things as what they are but we see things as what we want them to be. Start taking Control of our lives by again being aware. Very simple advice but slow to process but not impossible.

Set baby steps goals that are reachable and then move to more challenging ones. I have a personal trainer whom I work out with and she brings me to a level that I did not even know I could reach. Once you know how to set your schedule or goals, I guarantee you life will be slightly easier to pass and you will find free time for yourself.

The caller in the beginning of this article told me that he reads my article because I help him go through these hard times with a little comfort. I actually did not know I am doing that but is very satisfied. Thanks.
