( Part 2 of 3)
MANY people are calling in and asking what they can do succeed in this dire economy. In the words of my wise father, Grand Master Chi Jen Liu, "Disaster can be a blessing in disguise, if only you have awareness of life." Sometimes it is meant for you to lose something so that you are open to seeking and receiving something better. It is often said that it takes a crisis for people to realize the need to make changes for the better. Each one of you makes up, and is a reflection of a part of the whole global picture. If you don’t like what you see out there, it may be that you need to make a change in here.
Staying positive and creating an environment that supports you on both physical and spiritual levels is the best thing you can do in raising the vibration of the whole planet. Being aware of feng shui and making annual adjustments through applying the Flying Nine Star Chart to your home or office alerts you to areas of positive potential. When you know where the areas of wealth and promotion are located, you can reposition your desk or bed to absorb the positive energy and activate the annual energies to your benefit with feng shui adjustments. By the same token, awareness of problematic areas that can bring financial loss, illness, or conflict, allows you to avoid or neutralize negative energies.
Feng shui is a lifestyle. To maintain prosperity and good luck in your life, you need to make suitable feng shui adjustments every year. The following forecasts are excerpts of 2009’s Flying Nine Star energies for your home and office taken from my new book, Guide to a Harmonious 2009.
East
With the metal Star 7 coming into the east, be aware of theft and fighting, as well as tricky female troublemakers for those of you with an east door or room. Money loss and legal issues may arise from stress, anger, abuse, temptation, or injury—especially those who are the eldest son. The east direction energies are incompatible to Western Direction Pattern persons—especially those born in the Year of the Ox or Sheep. Therefore, Western Direction Pattern persons who have an east room should drive carefully and think before speaking to avoid conflicts, gossip, or legal issues. Do not leave east kitchen stoves unattended and check power lines in the east sector. Adjustment: Place a dragonhead turtle, symbolic of stability and releasing negative energies on your east office desk, facing east for protection.
Southeast
Star 8 is timely so it arrives in the southeast bringing wealth. However, children should take care of their well-being and health. They may be prone to catching colds and stomach problems if they sleep in the southeast room. The eldest son needs to be careful of cheating friends, car accident, or injury to limbs. There may also be conflicts in the southeast room between the father and eldest son. Fathers need to be careful or they may inadvertently hurt their sons. Siblings sharing a southeast room will tend to fight and quarrel more this year. Adjustment: Place coin-filled piggy banks by the southeast door facing in for wealth. For children’s health, place a pair of red jade turtles facing southeast in their room.
Northwest
The inherent metal energy of the northwest is exhausted by the water Star 1. The northwest is associated with the father and male boss, so they need to be careful of adultery, or being taken advantage of by tricky people. Money comes, however it tends to be accompanied by challenges. Those sleeping in the northwest room—especially if it is not compatible to them—may experience dizziness, brain, eye, or respiratory ailments. Communication with others may be off in the northwest room. Be humble and kind to avoid self-defeating conflicts. Adjustment: Place clear quartz by your bed to enhance health and well-being in the northwest room.
Gain more insight into your life and make your annual feng shui adjustments. Do not be the domino that falls with the others, but the domino that stands up to the challenge. When you make annual adjustments, you isolate yourself from stress and obstacles, enabling you to keep your New Year’s resolutions and progress in your life.
Please remember that each one of you has a unique, personal energy, home, and office. The feng shui recommendations are general and do not take the place of a personal feng shui consultation. The complete forecast and feng shui adjustments can be found in Guide to a Harmonious 2009.
