LIU FENG Shui Grand View is the trademark philosophy developed by Grand Master Chi-Jen Liu. From decades of research and experience in feng shui and related studies, he has defined 130 factors that affect who you are.
These factors are energy forces that influence your well-being and success in life. They can affect you at any given time and their strength varies depending on your priorities, stage of life, way of life, and your awareness. The holistic consideration of all of these influential factors, or grand view perspective, gives you the ability to truthfully see yourself within the context of your life.
The 130 factors can be categorized into two types: 1) predestined and 2) adjustable. You have little control over the predestined factors that established the foundation of your life. The adjustable factors are more easily changed and developed to promote your well-being. Because everything is connected, when you improve one factor, you trigger a chain reaction that affects other factors and creates positive change in your life.
This article series on Grand View Feng Shui will reveal the 130 factors so that you can explore how these forces define and affect who you are. Hopefully, this awareness inspires you to make adjustments for the better.
Factor #19: Fears
The majority of the population experiences some sort of fear, which is in part necessary for survival to avoid danger and harm. Some of the most common fears include the fear of cockroaches, snakes, heights, water, enclosed spaces, tunnels, bridges, social rejection, failure, taking exams, public speaking, flying, germs, intimacy, death, success, pain, terrorists, and being alone. Some people are afraid of ghosts and while others fear the existence of evil. Mostly, fear arises due to the unknown.
Fears can be categorized into two basic types: 1) internal fears linked with negative emotions within you stemming from low self-esteem or traumatic memories, and 2) external fears that come from things outside of yourself such as spiders or loud noises. Fears of either type can manifest as low as a feeling of mild caution and as high as escalated paranoia.
When a fear becomes a deterrent in your life and limits your ability to grow, you must find ways of understanding and overcoming it. For example, fear of success or fear of spousal infidelity can be self-defeating.
You may have fears that stem from your past lives, karma, suppressed memories, guilt, or from early childhood. Explore yourself deeply, consult professionals, or utilize hypnotherapy to understand the roots of your fears. Once you identify the source of your fear, you will be able to release it and move forward.
