(Part 4 of 5)
THIS is the fourth article in a five-part series that forecasts what you may expect in the south and southwest sectors of your homes and offices in 2012. Please note that these are general adjustments that apply to homes and offices with a north/south axis. The annual adjustments are more effective for clients whose existing feng shui has already been addressed in a feng shui consultation. Please visit Liu-FengShui.com for the complete forecast and adjustments.
South: Patience and Perspective
Water Star 1 extinguishes the fire element energies of the south direction in 2012. This makes it difficult to get things done in the south room. Whenever there is fire and water in the same direction, one must be very patient. Effort is necessary to overcome obstacles and clear up misunderstandings that disrupt success. Stress from anger and disappointment can aggravate the heart and cause psychological and cardiac problems.
Taking things in stride and appreciating everything as a lesson to learn from will keep things in perspective as you forge ahead. Those who stay focused on their goals and persevere in the south room will ultimately meet success. If you are in a south bedroom, 2012 is a superb year to expand your knowledge or skill base. Taking classes or doing research brings you new ideas and better solutions.
Metal Star 6 promotes water Star 1. However, because Star 1 is out of cycle, its less desirable characteristics tend to be activated. This energy creates the prodigal middle-aged man who spends recklessly and engages in questionable sexual relationships. Males in a south office or male-owned businesses with a south door need to be aware of this energy. A man in this predicament does well to have a trustworthy friend or mentor who watches out for him and guides him to steer clear of inappropriate people.
Adjustments for the south room and office:
Live plants and images of gardens or forests inspire growth and can help balance out the impulse to indulge. If you get the urge to splurge, try to buy meaningful gifts that appreciate the right people and strengthen your relationships.
Southwest: Take Time to Do it Right
The masculine wood Star 3 comes to the southwest in 2012 and defeats its feminine earth energies. This creates conflict between males and females. Patience, forgiveness, and compromise will help minimize trials for those who work in the southwest office or sleep in the southwest bedroom. Avoid entering through the southwest-facing door as it can bring people who take advantage, blame, complain, or threaten to take legal action against you. Make careful plans and get expert advice when making vital decisions. Progress can be made one step at a time with teamwork, understanding, and encouragement.
Earth Star 8 is like a favorable mountain supporting success. However, because out-of-cycle Stars 3 and 4 are associated with wind and storms, getting to the top is a rigorous climb in challenging conditions. Nonetheless, persistence will prevail. The southwest provides an inherent energy of replanting and re-establishment. The initial stages of progress are slow, but once solid plans take root, it is only a matter of time before success blooms. Businesses with a southwest door or office do well to lay groundwork, strategize, and double check paperwork, budget, and contracts.
Star 4 is associated with the eldest daughter, liver, arms, and legs. Females who sleep in the southwest room or enter through the southwest door may be prone to allergic reactions to drugs and toxins, skin rashes, or injury to the arms and legs - especially if the southwest room is not compatible. The southwest direction is associated with the uterus and emotions. Be aware of mental health issues and risk of miscarriage.
Adjustments for the southwest room and office:
Activate the fire element by placing a red or burgundy area rug by the southwest entry way or an accent lamp to keep the southwest room bright. Ring a gong or bell three times daily to disperse negative energies. Rose quartz in the bedroom along with a pair of red stone turtles facing southwest can enhance stable health and relationships.
