(Part 5 of 5)
THIS article concludes the five-part series by forecasting what you may expect in the west and northwest sectors of your homes and offices in 2012. Please note that these are general adjustments that apply to homes and offices with a north/south axis. The annual adjustments are more effective for clients whose existing feng shui has already been addressed in a feng shui consultation. Please visit Liu-FengShui.com for the complete forecast and adjustments.
West 4, 8, 8: Inviting Wealth
Masculine earth Star 8 is perfectly paired with the feminine metal element of the West direction in 2012. This brings a positive effect in the spring. Good news regarding work and money is announced, particularly as it relates to younger generations. Western Direction Pattern people who open a new business with a west entry enjoy income as special patrons and benefactors arrive at the doorstep providing additional support. Couples enjoying a high society lifestyle may be prone to over-indulgence and frivolous relationships. Keep priorities in mind and draw the line between having fun and sending out the wrong message.
Those in the west room enjoy romance, good reputation, and prosperity. However, with wood Star 4 depleting earth Star 8, this can bring allergies, sinus problems, or digestive ailments to children in the west room. Dragon and Dog teenagers in the west room may be academically challenged and unfocused. Love may be a source of distraction, emotional drain, and stress. Young working men may be pushed to their limits and not get enough rest, causing moodiness and lowered immunity. The eldest daughter who is compatible to the west room does well to study there and is likely to pass major exams and excel in academics. Females enjoy licensing and promotion in the west office.
Adjustments for the west room and office:
Use the fire element to activate Star 8, which brings celebration and helpful people. You can do this by painting a focal wall red or placing red flowers in the west room. Those with a west office can use the Chi Art, Star of Power to benefit from getting a raise and promotion.
Northwest 3, 9, 7: Inspiring Teamwork Brings Profit
In 2012, Star 7 comes to the northwest. Both Star 7 and the northwest direction belong to the metal element. Like two clashing swords, too much metal can translate into great stress from fighting. Those with a northwest room need to be particularly aware of intense energies and steer clear of conflicts. Take care to avoid theft, bleeding, gossip, legal issues, and violation tickets. Wisely select the company you keep as the northwest room can attract troublemakers and challenging friends.
Nightmares can disrupt the sleep of those in the northwest bedroom. Take extra care of your health as ailments related to the respiratory and neurological systems can be triggered. Aim to stay focused and calm rather than letting your worries get the best of you to maintain a better perspective when resolving problems.
Masculine wood Star 3 combined with feminine fire Star 9 ignites business and talent. There will be more promiscuity among the rich. For businesses with a northwest door or office, mismanagement leads to being cheated. There are good opportunities for larger profits and travel, however, do not be absent-minded or spend beyond your budget. Employ the help of your colleagues. With emphasis on teamwork, you gain benefits, rewards, and reputation. Appreciating your employees through fair sharing of profits is a wise way to spend your budget. Feminine metal Star 7 and feminine fire Star 9 create an explosive energy that can bring car accidents, injuries, surgeries, electrical shock, fires, and explosions. Be vigilant and eliminate fire hazards by changing old wiring, cleaning grease traps and attending to stoves in the northwest sector of your home.
Adjustments for the northwest room and office:
To promote money and genius, incorporate red accents into your décor. Place a red lantern in the northwest corner to enhance reputation and business. The Chi Art, Phoenix and Star of Fame can be placed on your northwest office wall facing your desk. (Note from the author: I have been writing about feng shui in this column since 1995. However, as I plan to devote more time to my clients, launching our new website, and book writing, this will be my last article. I want to thank Asian Journal and especially their editorial staff for giving me their support for over 15 years. I am grateful for my readers and hope they continue to explore feng shui and benefit from it throughout their lives.)
