Chi is the energetic component behind all life in the universe. Chi infuses cosmic forces, the earth’s geomagnetic field, the biomagnetic energies of living organisms, the electromagnetic fields created by natural and man-made sources, the full spectrum of light and sound waves, ionic fields in the air, the cause and effect of energy created by chemical reactions, the aesthetic and psychological expression of one’s feelings in response to our surroundings, and the rhythms that define time.

As human beings, we are constantly influenced by chi. Our universe is filled with the energy emanating from the sun, planets, stars, and moons. Electromagnetic forces holding these entities in orbit combined with the constant push and pull of planetary forces cause various phenomena to occur on galactic bodies, such as our Earth.

Chi induced sunspots are an example of the phenomena that occur as a result of electromagnetic forces. When sunspots are detected on top of the sun, the earth experiences economic boom. Sunspots seen on the bottom of the sun are related to more deaths, darkness, and hospitalization.

Another manifestation of cosmic chi occurs when Saturn and Jupiter align directly with planet Earth. When this happens, the leader of the United States experiences some kind of illness, accident, or tragedy. Documentation from 1860 on shows that our president has suffered an accident, illness, or death approximately every twenty years.

Earth has at its center, a magnetic, molten core with chi moving along its own spherical meridians. The fact that chi is stronger in certain places than others is apparent on the earth’s surface in the form of terrain and the health of the vegetation, animals, water, and human inhabitants.

The north and south polarities of earth’s magnetic fields also make a difference in the kind of chi a region experiences. Many studies show that people who are more exposed to the southern polarity tend to be more passionate and sexually active. People who are exposed to the northern polarity of the earth tend to be more in touch with their mind power and their intelligence is stronger.

Every living organism has a unique chi that circulates along its personal meridians radiating a specific frequency called the aura. Since energy and time go hand in hand, every organism has its own concept of time. Trees know when to turn green, fruit knows when to ripen and be harvested, plants know when to re-generate by releasing seeds, and birds fly south for the winter. Likewise, humans have biological clocks. All of these functions are connected to the earth’s chi, rhythms, and electromagnetic field.

The earth’s electromagnetic field emits a very low frequency (.5 miligauss) that is essential to our lives. We need to be close to the earth’s magnetic field as it plays a major role in keeping the direct current of our personal meridian systems (our chi) in control of bodily functions. We have discovered from space travel that going from the earth’s environment to a lower magnetic environment can result in serious discomfort or death. It has been studied and shown that when the human body is isolated from the earth’s magnetic field, its biological functions become irregular.

The brain is the power center and most vital region of the bodily meridians. The mind’s chi, or brainwaves, generate and regulate neurohormones, which control our emotions and bodily functions. The complexity of our brains is what separates us from animals and makes us intelligent beings capable of inheriting the wisdom of ancestral experience, feelings, thoughts, and ideas, all of which are greatly influenced by our environment. Our environment’s chi can have a negative or positive impact on our mind that can be destructive or healing.

The complex study of feng shui and its application to our environment guides us in selecting the vital points on earth which contain the most positive chi. Because the forces of the earth and cosmos are constantly in flux, the chi of our environment is always changing. Re-examining our lives and environment every year calls us to adjust our feng shui annually to keep up with the ever changing and powerful energy of the universe, and therefore promoting our well-being.
