THIS is the third article in a five-part series that forecasts what you may expect in your homes and offices in 2011. Preparing and making the proper feng shui adjustments gives you a head start toward reaching your goals in 2011.

Use an online map such as GoogleEarth or Mapquest to determine in which direction each room is located. First, print out the site map or draw a floor plan of your building. Divide the width and depth of the building into thirds. Once you have imposed this 3x3 grid on your floor plan, locate the north direction and fill in the remaining directions of the grid accordingly. Next, find the section in this article series that matches a particular room’s direction to see the corresponding 2011 forecasts and adjustments. If the direction you are looking for does not appear in this article, it will be addressed in a subsequent article.

Star 5 is a volatile energy associated with money loss and problems. Fire Star 9 is associated to trends, marketing, and sales. Star 9 in combination with the double Star 5 shows that although wealth comes in, there can be risk and unethical people involved. Research and seek expert advice before embarking on partnerships, investments, and big projects. Avoid groundbreaking, remodeling, or major construction work in the east room.

Remove all fire hazards in the east room and do not leave open flames unattended, especially in the east kitchen. Drive carefully. With 20-Year Stars 2 and 5 added to the formula, triple-check vital documents and bookkeeping to avoid problems. Those in an east room need to take extra care of their health. Medical offices and wellness centers with an east room or door can do well.

Annual double Star 5 with 20-Year Star 6 can bring financial loss or disaster. The eldest son, husband, or male boss may suffer from poor health, liver problems, or drinking abuse. Avoid legal issues. Males may be stubborn and create their own obstacles and failure. Too much stress can bring sickness or aggressive behavior. Stars 5 and 9 bring short-term wealth. Be more conservative.

The east is associated to the Rabbit zodiac or tai shui, which can bring challenges - especially to Rooster persons in the east room. Avoid risky activities.

Adjustments:

Place a pair of lions on the left and right of your east door for protection. Place a gong in the east room and ring daily to release negative energies. Place green plants with round or oval leaves in the east room to enhance health. Use green, teal, and blue colors.
