LIU FENG Shui Grand View is the trademark philosophy developed by Grand Master Chi-Jen Liu. From decades of research and experience in feng shui and related studies, he has defined 130 factors that affect who you are. This holistic consideration of the many factors, or grand view perspective, gives you the ability to see yourself within the context of your life.
Each factor is an energy force that influences your well-being and success in life. They can affect you at any given time and their strengths vary depending on your priorities, stage of life, way of life, and your awareness.
The 130 factors can be categorized into two types: predestined and adjustable. You have little control over the predestined factors that established the foundation of your life. The adjustable factors are more easily changed and developed to promote your well-being.
Everything is connected. When you improve one factor, you trigger a chain reaction that affects other factors and creates positive change in your life.
This article series will reveal the 130 factors so that you can explore how these forces define and affect who you are, and then hopefully be inspired to make adjustments for the better.
Factor #2: Genetic Heredity
Because you are formed from your parent’s blood, you inherit the combination of their genetic codes. This has a great impact on the basic foundation of your physical and mental health, which is what you build upon as you grow. Learning about and reflecting upon your parent’s physical and mental health can provide insight into the quality of your own health and state of mind.
When this list of 130 factors was created over thirty years ago, genetic heredity was listed as a predestined factor that we had little control over. However, the new science of epigenetics is showing that it is possible to overcome the directives of your genetic inheritance. In other words, just because there is a predisposition to certain traits or diseases in your family, it is possible to reprogram your genetic code through your environmental perception, high-level meditation, and your feng shui.
Nevertheless, it is still a given that you cannot change your unique set of inherited DNA. Knowing your proclivities and the building blocks you have to work with allows you to select suitable environments and engage in personal practices that neutralize the negative and encourage positive traits.
