A VERY BASIC RULE in keeping one’s personal style interesting is one must constantly update. It doesn’t have to be a dramatic change all the time. Any little modification when done tastefully helps.
Now that spring has sprung, here’s another opportunity for your hair to take on a fresher shape and form.
I’ve been checking out style magazines that are advocating everyday hair wear that’s worn straight but not too straight. Sort of linear on top with some wayward ends for character.
As for hair color, Spring 2009 will be seeing a lot of auburn, blonde highlights and believe it or not, peroxide blonde.
Trendsetters are also calling back the following hair cut classics for Spring 2009: cropped bob, pixie crop and long hair.
I have a soft spot for the bob. It looks so elegant and chic when matched with the right face shape and hair texture. This cut is ideal for women who have naturally straight to wavy hair. This is especially suitable for women who have round faces. This style usually requires blow-drying and to maintain the ideal length, you need to have it cut every six weeks.
The pixie crop is also another classic that’s making a comeback this spring. This is flattering for those who have strong facial features. This cut adds some femininity or softness to people who have sharp or strong facial features. If you happen to have thin hair, the pixie crop will add volume and make your hair appear thicker than it actually is. The pixie is easy to manage. A quick blow-dry and a dab of hair product, and you have a chic style that will last the entire day.
Long hair is also apparently here to stay. If you’ve experienced long hair, you already know that maintaining it takes work. It gets to a certain point where it gets harder to manage, it dries up and becomes frizzy.
Long hair needs extra attention. I always recommend regular conditioning, specifically via the Hair Reborn System. We offer this at my salon and this works like magic to revive and rejuvenate thirsty hair.
Also for a limited, Monet Salon is offering a special haircut promotion--2 for the price of 1. You and a guest can get your haircut together but you pay only one bill--$29.99 (extra for long hair).
It’s only at participating Monet Salons in Panorama City and Beverly Blvd. To make an appointment, please call (213)216-4923.
