SEAL BEACH—The Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County (FACCOC) held an educational and networking event—"Access To Capital" last Monday, June 15 at the Old Ranch Country Club.

Getting access to capital in today’s marketplace can be the difference in weathering this economic storm and closing your business doors.  The attendees learned about the different traditional and non-traditional capital sources that are currently available to small businesses.

The group of distinguished panelists included: Greg Arbues, Client Advocate Network—How to Connect to the right Capital; Dan Gufrey, Financing programs available through Small Business Financial Development Corporation; Allen Ilano, Citibank, SVP Regional Manager, Orange County Commercial Banking; Linda Onestinghel, Working capital financing programs available through Goldleaf Financial Solutions; Stacey Sanchez—Financing programs available through So. Cal. Reinvestment CDFI and CDC Small Business Finance; Ruth Cossio-Muniz (Facilitator), Assistant Director, Orange County SBDC .

Access to Capital was made possible by FACCOC in partnership with Small Business Development Corporation and was proudly sponsored by Citbank, to benefit the Filipino-American business community and its students.

FACCOC is a nonprofit association of Filipino-American entrepreneurs and professionals committed to improving the business climate and quality of life in Orange County. Their mission is to foster and promote domestic and international Filipino-American Business Interests. As a leading business action force for Filipino-Americans in the area, it is the cohesive force that champions total economic, social and political well-being. The Chamber is organized to focus attention and initiate private sector action on the major issues affecting the economic well-being and quality of life in the community. As it is a private, nonprofit association supported largely by its members, membership investments are a tax-deductible business expense. Learn more at www.faccoc.org
