Julaton lost a one-sided unanimous decision against Lisa "Bad News" Brown for the WBA Super Bantamweight Title at the Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada last March 27.

According to reports, the 39-year-old Brown (17-4) easily handled the 29-year-old Julaton (6-2-1) throughout the ten-round match with ring experience, crisp punches and combinations. The judges scored the bout unanimously for Brown 99-92, 99-91, and 100-91.

Despite being outmatched and suffering from two cuts above both eyes from accidental head butts, Julaton showed her resilience.

The reigning IBA and WBO Super Bantamweight titlist Julaton fought much of the fight behind on the cards but continued to force the action.

Julaton had her moments against Brown in the fifth and sixth round however it was not enough to withstand Brown’s power punches, according to the Manila Bulletin.

After the match, Julaton was sent to the Soldier’s hospital in Orillia, Canada to suture the cuts above her eyes, according to her manager Angelo Reyes.

In a letter read in the post fight conference from Julaton by Reyes, Julaton apologized for the loss but vowed to "be back better than ever."

"I did my best and would not give up no matter what because that is how I was brought up by my parents and as a Bok Fu Black belt of West Wind Schools we are taught to never back down," read Reyes for Julaton.

"I fought tonight with a legend of this sport and it was her night. She has been a professional for a decade and I’m happy we put on a show deserving of our sport," she added.

"As a Filipina, I know [and] my greatest assets [are] toughness, resilience and a true Pinay never gives up on [her] goals. I promise I will be back better than ever."
