SAN PEDRO – Divas 4 Divas, the highly successful concert series presented to audiences in major cities in the United States and Canada, is back again, this time with shows in Long Beach, San Diego and Stockton, California, and in Dallas, Texas.
"If you missed the Pasadena concert you will have a chance to see the Long Beach show on May 31," said Kuh Ledesma, one of the four divas in Divas 4 Divas, which include Regine Velasquez, Pops Fernandez and Zsa Zsa Padilla. The four divas promoted their upcoming shows at a press conference at Simon’s Restaurant in San Pedro on Wednesday, May 20.
Sold-out crowd awed by 4 Divas
IT WASN’T DIFFICULT to find the Pasadena Civic Auditorium last Saturday, March 28, for the much-awaited Divas 4 Divas concert. As early as an hour before the 7:30pm concert, cars were lined up to enter the many parking buildings around the auditorium and hundreds of people were briskly making their way to the concert hall.
Starmedia Entertainment, the show’s producer, has touted the concert as the dream concert to beat, "four times bigger and four times grander". And it truly was one of the most impressive and extraordinary concert productions to come from the Philippines in years - if not, the best!

IN Dante’s first brilliant movie, I’ve identified 7 metaphors: balugo seed, salt, cashew brittle, white dress, mother and child logo, rain, lychee. Let me share how I regard one of these metaphors, what it meant to me.
Cashew brittle
In several scenes, cashew brittle making occupies center stage. Each step is deftly shown: the cashew nuts are shelled by hand, using a shell crusher, split open to reveal the raw cashew, roasted in the wok, and then, with added sugar or muscovado, made into brittle. Relationships are like cashew brittle-making.
