The Celebrity Center in Hollywood was packed with members of the Los Angeles FilAm media and other guests for the recent press conference of Sharon Cuneta and daughter, KC Concepcion. Promoting their June 12 concert at the Shrine Auditorium, Megathirthy, the megastar and KC, who arrived with Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, captivated the audience with their beauty, grace and brains.Celebrating Sharon’s 30 years as an entertainer, the Megathirty Concert is once again expected to be an SRO event at the Shrine Auditorium, which has been Sharon’s favorite concert venue in LA. "Shrine is home to me," said the megastar who was the first entertainer who performed to an SRO crowd at the Shrine, which has a seating capacity of 6300. For this, the megastar was consequently given a key to the city of Los Angeles by its former mayor, Tom Bradley, in 1988.
Jackie Regala, and husband Gerry Katigbak of Katz Entertainment, producers of the LA Megathirty Concert, proudly announced that the earlier concerts of Sharon & KC in Las Vegas and San Francisco, which they also produced, were all "mega-successful". Best Actress Awards from different prestigious award-giving bodies, garnered more than 20 music awards, recorded over 40 hit albums, acted in about 58 films, received seven recognitions for TV hosting and is a holder of Box Office Queen Awards for several years.In the question and answer portion of the conference, Sharon and KC bared their hearts to the press, endearing themselves to the audience with their sincerity and warmth.
What can people expect from the Megathirty concert?
Sharon: It will be fun, entertaining and touching. We have come prepared to give the audience a great show. It will be a look back on the past 30 years. People will love it.After 30 years in showbiz, what else does she dream of having or doing?
