THE United States government has been morphing strategies to extend its help to ease American homeowners’ burden on foreclosures. Efforts from the Bush administration, the Federal government, and Congressional democrats have been taken in action to stem foreclosures so far.

The housing crisis is one of the country’s main struggles – the number of American homeowners who cannot pay their mortgage payments has been growing and has continued to be a pattern in major cities.

There are two kinds of American homeowners who are in peril of meeting foreclosures – one, people who for whatever reason will not be able to make their monthly payments; and two, those who are at risk not because they cannot afford their monthly dues but because they simply don’t want to pay them.  These are the homeowners who realize that their houses have lost its value that and decided that it is worth less than the underlying mortgage.

Still, in spite of the present financial crisis the country is facing, the government is doing its best – from rescue plans and strategies – to help rescue American homeowners from their problems.   However, as responsible citizens, we are also responsible for these problems – the government cannot always take direct action on them, but we can.  (AJPress)
