Wonderland

THINGS seem to be looking up these days for Philippine tourism.

Following the overwhelming support given to the Department of Tourism’s new ad campaign “It’s More Fun in the Philippines,” yet another accolade has been bestowed upon the country—the confirmation of the Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) in Palawan as one of the New7Wonders of Nature.

A fundamental right

Considered as the “modern-day heroes” of the Philippines, migrant Filipino workers are the greatest contributors to our country’s economic stability.

Perhaps, this may be the reason why our lawmakers collectively agreed that our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) should not be stripped off their right to vote, even if they are outside the country.

Trying the country’s Chief Justice is a worrisome undertaking. An issue of national scale, its developments should be able to employ the Filipino’s stance, as constituents, on matters which concern them.
