Mission:
We, the members of the Asian American Educators Service
Organization of Nevada, are formed to foster unity, acquire ideas, and exchange experiences using instructional methods and techniques for the improvement of the quality of education.
AAESON SERVICES
Among teachers,
-we serve each other as mentors; share instructional methods and strategies; and provide moral support to each other.
To students in the community,
-we extend tutorial services; help in the preservation of the Asian culture and awareness of the diversity that will help students make
reflective decisions on issues related to ethnicity;
-we provide extra-curricular activities/ competitions in declamation, oration, elocution, choral recitations, songs, and Asian folk dances, with incentives; and
-we facilitate in the promotion of social skills among themselves.
Description:
AAESON, Asian American Educators Service Organization of Nevada, a non-profit organization, was founded and recognized by the State of Nevada on January 22, 2004. It is comprised of any full-time, part-time, retired teacher, student teacher, librarian, support staff, current and retired administrator who is of Asian descent. We are dedicated and committed for the betterment of our youth.
LOS ANGELES – The Filipino American Library (FAL), the only Library of its kind in the US, is set to showcase some of the finest Filipino and Filipino American vocal talents in jazz at its annual Gala & Spirit Awards on Saturday, October 11. Departing from its usual “home” at the Biltmore Hotel, FAL will present its first concert, “JAZZMOPOLITAN: A Celebration of Music” at the Aratani Theatre of the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center in Little Tokyo.
