In 2006, the JFAV held its first conference in UCLA with the help of the Samahang Pilipino and People’s CORE. It has a network of 67 student, youth, community and veterans organization in Southern California.

In November 2008, the JFAV as an alliance based in California- made a bold step to form the organization nationwide with chapters in San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Washington DC.
