Mission statement

THE Filipino American Association of North Texas is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization . It was organized to promote and enhance the cultural diversity of the Filipino Americans, which embody their ideals and beliefs, committed to the community. To bring together Filipino American traditions and maintain this community through open communications and cooperation.

In order to achieve these objectives, develop better cooperation with other organizations, and generate greater interest and active presentation of the members, the Association has organized, coordinated and participated in programs and projects involving charitable, civic, cultural and educational activities. The Association is always open for suggestions on the best way to utilize its resources, extend camaraderie and generate mutual cooperation among Filipinos and their friends in North Texas.

Objectives

- to provide common platform to all members living in North Texas area for pursuing their common goals and sharing their concern

- to promote, coordinate and support joint efforts in social, cultural, educational and charitable activities of the members

- to foster friendship and understanding between the people of Filipino origin and other nationalities

- to help celebrate events that are important to the Fil-Am community, such as the Philippines Republic Day

- to help deserving Filipino American students attain their educational goals through scholarship awards

- to help youth to be actively involved in the community through a youth group

- to make charitable donations both locally and in Philippines

Board of Directors

The Faantx Board of Directors are responsible for the implementation of the Objectives set forth in the Faantx Constitution. Any qualified member of good standing maybe nominated to be a candidate for the Board of Director position. The Board comprises of 15 elected members who shall amongst themselves, elect the following:Ā

Secretary
Treasurer
Auditor
Appointed Officers
Appointive officers will serve for one (1) year and maybe extended by another year by a majority vote of the Board Members.
