MANILA - The Court of Appeals has concluded that Filipino American activist Melissa Roxas was indeed abducted and tortured and that there is no truth to the claims by the Arroyo government that the incident was “stage-managed” or “self-inflicted.”
The court thus ordered the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to stop publicly accusing Roxas of being a member of the New People's Army.

(LEAP), a non-profit organization that encourages individuals to assume leadership positions at work and in the community.
The event was in celebration of LEAP’s 27th year of “growing leaders and was held on July 16 at the Omni Hotel. The dinner awards program was hosted by Channel 7 Eyewitness News anchor David Ono.
