Philippine Congressional delegation thanks US Legislators for passage of WWII vets bill

Meeting with Representative Bob Filner, Chair, House Veterans Affairs CommitteeFrom 16-20 March 2009, a Congressional delegation from the Philippines headed by Congressman Antonio Diaz, Chairman of the House Committee on Veterans Affairs, came to Washington D.C. to express their thanks and appreciation to U.S. legislators who played a key role in the passage of legislation granting recognition and benefits to Filipino veterans for their service in World War II.

The other members of the delegation accompanying Congressman Diaz were Congressman Roman Romulo; Congressman Carlos Padilla; Congressman Hermilando Mandanas; PVAO Administrator Ernesto Carolina; and Vice President of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines Justice (Ret) Manuel Pamaran.
