The first time I met Ryan a couple years ago, I knew that he was going to be one of the most exciting and awesome performers of his generation.
Ryan Gallagher is the newest music industries toast of the town. This handsome and talented young man continues to gain support and build legions of fans and praises from the music enthusiast as well.
With his wide range of musical abilities from country music to Michael Bubble, Josh Groban and the great Andrea Bocelli, Goldilocks President and concert producer of the legendary Society of Seven, Mendrie Leelin saw a big potential and trusted him to be the the youngest addition to their US tour that started in Hawaii. Born and raised as a Christian he said “I am so thankful to be given a privilege and a chance to perform to all of you specially the Filipinos who has been very supportive of me ever since, and to given a chance to sing and praise God at the same time”He is the third among six children and his loving family is in Grand Rapids, Michigan while he currently lives in Los Angeles, California.
Ryan was involved in the high school choir and church choir, he never really thought of himself as a “good singer.” In fact, in his own words, Ryan took the choir classes for an “easy A.”
Apparently, his choir teacher heard something special in Ryan’s vocals. When an opportunity to audition to sing backup for Josh Groban came along, his choir teacher chose Ryan to audition. Ryan auditioned and was chosen to support Josh Groban in You Raise Me Up, in front of 11,000 fans at the VanAndel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan in early 2005.
“When I came up over the risers and saw 11,000 people, I thought, this is really amazing, this is what I want to do,” Ryan said about the experience.
This was the start of an amazing international musical journey.
Ryan’s natural talent, wholesome good looks, charming personality and passion for music and entertaining has propelled him to major opportunities to perform before many National Artist, including Carrie Underwood and Gretchen Wilson.
In addition, Ryan has performed at nationally televised sporting events, which aired on Verses Network and ESPN. Ryan was a featured artist and his music was played on over 800 stations nationally by Clear Channel Communications. Ryan has had a taste of national exposure on three reality TV shows (American Idol, Can You Duet? and Nashville Star).
While Ryan’s roots began in Country Music, he has the capability of a wide range of genres which has allowed Ryan to expand his repertoire to international music and classics.
Ryan attended the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts in Washington DC under the private direction of nationally known Baritone Dr. George Gibson.
Ryan Gallagher, as a headliner or opening act continues to be an ever-increasing demand.
Future shows that are in the works will bring Ryan to tour in the Philippines and Hong Kong soon, as well as, various locations in the states.
Ryan has performed with Carnegie Hall Star, Stephanie Reese, Jasmine Trias, Las Vegas Diva Lani Misalucha.
He has performed many shows in LA and Las Vegas, including headlining a show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Ryan is currently the latest Featured Guest Performer with of SOS (Society of Seven) and has performed over 130 shows in Waikiki, Hawaii and in various venues on the mainland including Reno, Las Vegas, LA and Seattle since November of 2010.
There will be days you will be basking in the sun, but there will also be days you will feel shattered. But it will be what you do in those times of despair that will make you the man of God you are meant to be.
